Levanon, Mordekhai
(1901-68)
   Israeli painter of Transylvanian origin. He went to Palestine in 1921 and he worked as an agricultural labourer. From 1922 he studied painting in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. His works include paintings of Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee and Safed.
